Owner: Dave Bremner

It started with attempting to modify a Daewoo Lanos, with 17’s, a stereo, and terribly wavy body kit made by a local shop. I decided to buy a mini truck for my next project.

The first order of business was to get the truck road worthy, It had been sitting for years and needed some TLC; once on the road. I turned to a good friend in Rob Twitchett at Extreme Audio, for an Autostart 2 way paging alarm. That was followed up with the installation of a Pioneer deck, Rockford Fosgate amplifier and Swiss Audio speakers and sub. The Sub was originally mounted in a custom made down firing box made the night before the ruckiss rides show by, Extreme Audio. It was then temporarily replaced by a hand made fiberglass console which included help from most members of LCC and CG at one point in time, everyone had at least a small hand in my box. But being the first fiberglass project we quickly discovered why my body kit turned out like crap. That console was sold and rescued by someone with more time and patience, and Ground’d Kustoms was contacted to create a masterpiece which now houses 2 Kaption 10” subwoofers.

During the winter of 2005, I began work on the interior, exterior, and some minor upgrading of the suspension components. The stock dash was removed and sanded down, and was painted base clear to match the exterior of the truck. New clear turns, marker lights and a set of hard to find taillights were added. A pair of leather buckets from a Lincoln Towncar added comfort and style to the interior. Various strobe and accent lights throughout the cab offered a little extra after sunset. And the old Thomas compressors were replaced the 200PSI 100% duty Air zenith compressors.

Those winter plans carried over all year long with various little details added, including Hand painted Pinstripes and A tailgate Mural done all night and morning before the cruise to the show. Chrome 20” wheels were also added replacing the old 18” polished wheels. Also a micro suede headliner was added. The real transformation didn’t come until the winter or 2006 and spring of 2007. This is where the trucks bed was again removed, and the Pete and Jacks 4 Link was removed and replaced by the KP 6 link with slam specialties bags, the step notch was replaced with a monster notch. The old and slow 3/8’s system with Mac spool valves was then given and awakening with the addition of all new Asco ½ fill 3/8 dump valves, which had the truck hoping off the floor before the bed was reinstalled. At this point, The newly built center console was painted and installed and the truck finally had some bass for those long cruises, More strobe lights were added, including some under the hood, and the frame and interior were coated with a rigid bed liner coating to add a bit of texture and protection. The link bars and pan hard bar of the KP 6 link were also painted to match the truck and a chrome differential cover was added.

Spring 2008 brought more changes to the truck, as a cadillac front clip was purchased and installed along with a GMC style bumper, the rest of 2008's plans include, bed linering the bed, tuning and rewiring the stereo correctly and the addition of a new third brake light, along with a general cleanup of loose ends. All as the money is set aside for a full repaint in the years to come.

After only 3 years of hard work behind him, Dave is showing no signs of resting. He still plans on some underbody lights, Chrome engine accessories, And a full repaint to bring some life back into the old paint.

Id like the thank everyone who has helped me to get the truck where it is today. Including Rob Twitchett for his mechanical, electrical and chauffeur help. My parents. Mike at the plainsman who gave me my first shop to work on it. And Dave for this most recent free storage and his hours of help with preparing the work. James Day for his expertise and welding skills on the new notch, and the advice he helped with from the very start. Kevin and Rob at Altered Altitude Customs, for the great deals on everything I have purchased and excellent customer service. And also Thanks to all my friends who have also helped in a lot of ways. Low Class Customz, Common ground truck club. Oaktown Parkway collision for the paint work. It wouldn’t be there without all of their help. From the Various projects completed nights before shows, to running around to find wheel locks to install my rims the day before the BBQ, and 2 days before scrape. You’ve always been there.
